A rug gallery in East Cobb, in the same trade since 1987 — selling hand-knotted Persian, Chinese and Indian rugs, repairing the ones worth keeping, and cleaning wool properly. The pieces on this floor are meant to outlast the people who buy them.

Deliberately empty. There is no photograph of this shop’s inventory anywhere online — not on a site it controls, not on any directory — so nothing has been put here. A gallery’s rugs are the product, and showing rugs that belong to someone else would misrepresent the floor. One afternoon with a camera fills this section with the real thing.

What we do

Three trades, not one

Selling a hand-knotted rug, restoring one, and cleaning one are different skills at very different prices. Listing them together — the way a directory does — quietly buries the expensive one.

The floor

Hand-knotted rugs — Persian, Chinese, Indian — alongside machine-made pieces and antiques. Most come in several standard sizes, and there are rounds.

“Since my early years in grade school I would go to my Father’s shop to do my home work. There I would watch my Father working in the rug trade, my being exposed to his reputable, honest attitude and the good relationships he had with his customers lead to my decision to enter the rug business.”

Rugs are judged in person — the pile underfoot, the colour in daylight, the back of the knot. Everything here happens on the floor, not in a cart.
